Over de workshop
Speaker: Tanja Beentjes, on behalf of Transition Castricum
More and more is being learned about the potential health risks of crop protection products for humans. It has also become apparent that gaps exist in the authorization of these products. Municipalities are responsible for a healthy living environment. This evening will address what can be done locally on this issue. We will discuss at what level measures can be taken (European, national, provincial, local), by whom, and on what grounds. The goal is to provide residents with insight into where local control is possible. The presentation will conclude with a presentation on the existing alternatives for sprayed flowers in our region.
Tanja has been active in the field of human rights since 2005, involved in projects related to movement building and system change since 2016, and graduated in July with a master's degree in law focusing on environmental law.
